Nothing new

It has been a while since I updated my blog. Just did not feel like it.

I got stuck at with a simple problem while developing my first Eclipse RCP based app. I posted my doubt on the mailing list but did not get any help. Maybe it was a very simple "newbie doubt".

Dual Monitors

I have placed an order for the latest SWT book on amazon. Till it reaches me I will learn/ play with Lisp. I am not sure which feature of Lisp attracts me most. Maybe it is just the fact that, it is difficult to learn but once you master it you will have great power (Like my wizard character in RPG games who solve tough quests to get magical powers or spells).

So nowadays I go through the online "Successful lisp", "On Lisp" and the "Common Lisp Cookbook". I also wrote my first Lisp program. It substitutes words in text files using key-value pairs from a properties file :)

BTW I setup dual monitors for my laptop. I would have made it three monitors but my graphics card (ATI Radeon) supports only two. I read the online books on one monitor and try out programs on the other. You can also leave your mail client open on one while you work on the other so that you can respond to mails as soon as they come :)
