I am a "Promoter/ Inventor"

I usually hate personality and "find the real person in you" tests. But since a close friend of mine strongly recommended it I took the Myers-Briggs personality test from the book and got "EXTP" as my result. The explanation says that I have characteristics of an "ESTP" and an "ENTP". These represent the Promoter and the Investor personalities (Extroversion, Sensing/ Intuition , Thinking, Perception OR Expressive, Sensing/ Inrospective, Tough Minded, Probing).

Promoters are "Artisans" and Inventors as "Rationals".

I realized that the traits of a Rational such as a constant lookout for increasing efficiency, need for independence, etc., is quite evident in my behaviour. As in the book, this causes problems in family life and among friends since the rationals feel that even the repetition of "known facts" such as "how much I care" would reduce the efficiency of his/her communication. The good side is that they can solve/ invent solutions and see the implementation to its end.

The Promoter, a social animal, moves fast (interests/ focus keep changing) and as the book says "One who travels fast travels alone". Since he moves on avoiding making any commitments he loses some of his friends but due to his expressiveness he can easily find many more friends as he moves along. The better side is that the ability to interest people and coax them to join him. This would give his ventures a better chance of success.

I always knew that I was different :P:)
